Great to meet you!

My name is Nina Dickerson and I have been counseling individuals and couples for 18 years. After graduating from UCLA in 1992 I worked in the financial industry and then took time off to raise my two children. I went back to school to get my masters in marriage and family therapy from Pepperdine University in 2005 and I have felt fulfilled and passionate about this work ever since.

My approach to therapy

I work with clients from a cognitive behavioral (CBT) framework with an understanding that your life story has framed your experience of the world. So many of us feel stuck in our lives because of past trauma or feeling lost because our life goals and dreams seem unattainable. I want to help you find a path of hope toward your life goals and experience joy and purpose in your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

My hope is that you feel heard, accepted and cared for in our sessions. I want to help you feel more confident by not listening to the negative self talk in your head and more intentional in your actions so that you feel purposeful in your life and proud of the person that you are.
