Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Nina K. Pierre. I’m a Licensed Cinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Credentialed Alcohol Substance Abuse Counselor Master Counselor (CASAC MC). I have over 13 years of experience and received my Masters of Social Work at Fordham University with a concentration on Leadership and Macropractice, and Substance Abuse. I have experience in Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma Informed Care (TIC), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and Seeking Safety Therapy. I provide a safe and compassionate space to explore social identity, spirituality, loss, and needs. I am passionate about improving accessibility to treatment and promoting self-care.

I have experience in different modalities, including outpatient/inpatient substance abuse treatment, transitional housing, permanent housing, all-inclusive of LGBTQIA+, HIV/AIDS, Dually Diagnosed, and other special needs/vulnerable populations. This includes family/couples/individual therapy. I am excited to explore ways in which I can help plant seeds of hope, instill kindness and self-compassion, and empower you to reach your goals.

My approach to therapy

I provide an inclusive, affirming, and open-minded space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. My approach is direct yet compassionate, balancing insight with actionable solutions. Integrating various therapeutic modalities—including CBT, ACT, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed techniques—I tailor each session to the individual’s unique needs. I believe in meeting clients where they are, helping them explore patterns, build resilience, and create meaningful change. My goal is to foster self-awareness, empowerment, and practical growth in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect a supportive, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where you feel truly heard and valued. My approach is collaborative and direct, balancing deep emotional exploration with practical strategies to help you navigate challenges and create meaningful change. I tailor each session to your unique needs, integrating modalities like CBT, mindfulness, solution-focused techniques, and somatic awareness. You’ll receive honest, compassionate feedback and tools that empower you in daily life. My goal is to help you build resilience, gain insight, and move forward in a way that aligns with your values and strengths.
