Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Nirmala, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over a decade of experience, licensed in New York and Florida. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Sociology from Queens College. I specialize in working with adults and focus on relationships, polyamory, open relationships, and non-monogamous partnerships. I also support clients through grief, entrepreneurship challenges, and LGBTQIA+ and transgender care.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is eclectic and holistic, drawing on various modalities to meet each client’s unique needs. I firmly believe that everyone is multifaceted, and I adapt my approach to fit each client’s specific struggles. In our sessions, I bring a relational-cultural and anti-oppressive lens, aiming to create a safe, trusting space where you feel truly seen, understood, and respected. We work together to explore and transform how you connect with yourself and others.

What you can expect from me

Clients often tell me they leave sessions with greater clarity and a sense of empowerment over their lives. I’ll support you in reconnecting with your inner resilience and taking practical steps toward creating the life you envision. My goal is to help you feel aligned with your mind and body, equipped with tools to regain control, and ready to fully engage in your life—not just on autopilot.
