Great to meet you!

It’s great to meet you! I am a bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 20 years of experience in psychology and a clinical background working with individuals at different stages of life. I hold a Master’s degree in Health Psychology and am also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Although much of my behavioral practice has involved children and families, my mental health counseling experience has primarily been with adults and older adults facing anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship or family concerns, caregiver strain, and adjustment difficulties. I understand that seeking support can be a difficult step, and I strive to offer a culturally responsive and welcoming space where English- and Spanish-speaking clients feel heard, respected, and supported.

My approach to therapy

Every person has a unique history, culture, and set of circumstances, so I believe therapy should be individualized rather than based on a one-size-fits-all approach. We will work as partners to understand the concerns affecting your daily life, identify meaningful goals, and develop practical strategies that fit your needs and values. My background in mental health counseling and behavioral science allows us to explore how your experiences, environment, behaviors, and coping responses may be connected. I will listen without judgment, offer honest feedback, and support you as we work toward meaningful and observable changes in your life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be an opportunity for you to share your story, discuss what brought you to therapy, and describe what you hope will change. Together, we will identify your priorities and begin developing realistic goals for our work. I strive to create a warm, respectful, and welcoming environment where you can speak openly and feel comfortable being yourself. In the sessions that follow, we will continue exploring important patterns, strengthening coping and communication skills, and identifying practical steps you can apply in your daily life. We will regularly review your progress and adjust our approach as your needs and circumstances evolve.
