Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Dr. Nneka Ikedinma. I am a dual certified nurse practitioner and the founder of Able Integrative Practice LLC. If you are experiencing challenges with maintaining a healthy mental well-being, I am the right individual that will walk this journey alongside with you to ensure that you attain remission of your symptoms. Testimonies from my clients about my practice speaks for itself and most of them noted that they feel supported, welcomed and at ease. A patient noted in her review that what makes me truly special is not just my clinical expertise, but also my warm and humorous personality. Another client rightly emphasized that I treat the issues while understanding that each patient is different. It never felt like I was just checking boxes. These are verified reviews and the honest truth is that I have so much passion in what I do. Just one visit with me will tell it all! When it is a passion, it flows so easily and it does not feel like a job.

After few years of working as a primary care provider, I decided to specialize as a psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner because I was amazed at how my patients' mental health were improving. It simply blew my mind and over these years of working as a mental health provider, I am so convinced that I have a special calling for this field. The result is so surreal! Schedule an appointment with me so that we can start this journey towards a healthier and happier you. Do not be afraid to take that first step towards attaining that freedom you so desire. With me, it's an easy ride.

My approach to therapy

I utilize a patient-centered approach in my practice and ensure that treatment is tailored to each individual patient's needs because everyone’s mental health journey varies.

Building a therapeutic relationship with her patients is the core of my practice because it helps to promote better communication and encourages shared decision making. The treatment plan is clearly discussed with patients with the aim of symptom remission to promote overall wellbeing.

What you can expect from me

What you will expect during your initial visit is a thorough comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and accurate diagnoses based on DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and the individual diagnosis will be clearly explained. Together, we develop a treatment plan that is tailored specifically to your need. A patient noted in her review that I am awesome to talk to, I listen and I have a plan. Honestly, without a plan, there is no direction and a treatment plan is critical.

Consequently, together, we will develop a treatment plan based on your goal. Your goal which includes both long and short term goals guide the treatment plan because the objective is to meet that goal that you want to achieve within a specific period of time. Treatment plan gets to be reviewed each visit and revised periodically and when the goals are met, new goals are set with the ultimate aim of empowering you to become manager of your own care.

Additionally, I thoroughly explain treatment options and provide valuable coping strategies that promote symptom remission to ensure that you take control of your own mental health.

Pharmacotherapy with psychotherapy make a remarkable difference and from the onset, I emphasize on these treatment modalities.
