Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Noah Pasternak, and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of California. I am passionate about helping you heal from the past while developing a sense of control, self-worth, and direction in your life. I am currently working with individuals, families, and adolescents, and have experience working with trauma, PTSD, grief/loss, OCD, depression, anxiety, stress, life transitions, self-esteem, adolescents, substance abuse, and relationship issues.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to working with my clients is collaborative, and I incorporate several approaches to treatment including, person-centered, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and mindfulness-based treatment approaches. My focus is to assist you in exploring and understanding the factors that have led to your distressing symptoms, and how these symptoms are impacting your relationships, sense of self, and the direction that you have envisioned your life going.

What you can expect from our first session

I offer a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space in which we can collaboratively work toward your goals through developing new understandings and new coping strategies that focus on your personal strengths. During sessions together, you can expect a safe environment in which you can explore and process your experiences, receive compassion and new perspectives, and directly work toward creating change in your life.
