I am a board-certified, bilingual (English/Spanish) psychiatrist who is passionate about understanding my clients at a deeper level and helping them find the emotional wellbeing they seek. After finishing my residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System, where I served as a Chief Resident, I completed a two-year interpersonal psychoanalysis course at the William Alanson White Institute in New York City.
My training allows for an approach that goes beyond a mere focus on symptoms, but rather an in-depth exploration of the key relationships and events that have shaped current struggles. An open, collaborative process in which you feel understood is crucial for healing. I believe strongly in using medications safely and judiciously, and will explore with you non-pharmacological treatment options as well.
