Great to meet you!

I have 28 years of diverse work experience as a former Educator and Licensed Professional Counselor which has provided me with a scope of understanding vital to work with children, teens/young and older adults. Because of my background and experience with academics, assessments, and interventions, I have written a Transition program for at-risk students and Character Education curriculum with a parent component as well. I’m a EMDRIA APPROVED EMDR THERAPIST IN TRAINING.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I will use various forms of treatments tailored for the client: it could be Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Sand Tray, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, or Exposure Therapy, EMDR, etc. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress.

What you can expect from our first session

My background includes counseling in cases of teen pregnancy, substance abuse, suicidal ideation, sexual abuse, learning disabilities, grief, anxiety, stress, social skills, depression, trauma, and academics. When you first come to me, we'll explore your issues in depth, and make a plan for how we can work together to improve your experience of life.
