Great to meet you!

I am Nora Violante, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing telehealth therapy across Illinois, drawing on over a decade of clinical experience that includes ten years serving Veterans at the Department of Veterans Affairs. In my practice, I specialize in supporting individuals and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, major life transitions, and relationship distress. My goal is to offer a warm, practical, and collaborative space where you can stop feeling stuck, handle difficult emotions with greater ease, and start moving toward a life and relationship that truly matter to you.

My approach to therapy

In my practice, I specialize in supporting individuals and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, major life transitions, and relationship distress. I thoughtfully integrate evidence-based frameworks—including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy (IBCT), CBT, and Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET)—tailored to your unique needs.

What you can expect from me

I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation to verify insurance, scheduling, and fit. After that, in an initial session, you fill experience a supportive, low-pressure space focused on understanding what brings you to therapy. Together, we will discuss your current challenges, relevant background, and the specific thoughts, anxiety, or relationship dynamics keeping you stuck. Using a warm, collaborative approach, we will begin identifying your core values and clarifying what a meaningful outcome looks like for your life or relationship. By the end of our first meeting, we will outline a practical, personalized path forward so you leave with complete clarity on our direction.
