Great to meet you!

I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in various therapeutic and educational settings over the span of many years both in the U.S. and in Mexico. As a bilingual (Spanish/English), bicultural therapist, I bring awareness and sensitivity to the therapeutic relationship, respecting the values and perspectives of diverse populations. I specialize in anxiety disorders and as a trauma-informed therapist, I work with those who have experienced complex trauma. Through my knowledge of attachment theory, I have a unique lens with which to assist you in navigating how to control your responses in your relationships in healthy ways consistent with your values and identity.

My approach to therapy

In our work, I will take us through evidenced-based treatment models such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) integrating powerful new strategies through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) which will guide you towards values-based action in your life, learning mindfulness practice, and bringing self-awareness through experiential exercises.

What you can expect from me

My approach is strength-based and collaborative. I understand that change is difficult and I will work to help you to understand what matters most to you and help you move towards that. In creating therapy goals, we will clarify what you are trying to achieve, understand the processes that are helping or hindering you, and create immediate interventions to shift those processes. These outcomes will bring about more psychological flexibility in order for you to become more present, open, and engaged with life. We will partner to accomplish this in a trusting and safe space together.
