Great to meet you!

I am a warm, friendly person who essentially likes everyone I meet. I make meaning in my life through relationships with family, friends and any person passing through. I am a lover of animals and nature. I love the ocean and have recently relocated to a beach town. I have had the pleasure of connecting with just about every client I have worked with over 28 years and I consider that a privilege and a strength.

My approach to therapy

First and foremost, a warm, trusting relationship must be formed with each client. From there we can navigate the changes the client seeks and find the ways that the client makes meaning in life. I talk actively and use a narrative approach.

What you can expect from me

During the first session we do a brief medical history and I ask what brings clients to therapy. I remind clients that I am "working for them" and they are hiring me to assist them in meeting their goals. If they are unsure of goals, we will establish those going forward and I will check in to see how I am doing from time to time.
