I was born in San Salvador, El Salvador (South America), and I am a psychotherapist working in Green Valley/Sahuarita, Arizona providing services to children, adolescents, and adults. I am bilingual in Spanish and have experience working with a wide variety of cultures, diverse groups and situations. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana, and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 1997 at Lesley University in Cambridge Massachusetts.
I am certified EMDR therapist and a registered play therapist. I have received training in CBT, DBT, DNMS, ADHD, relationships/attachment. I have worked with children and adults that were sexually abused as children, emotionally disturbed and at risk adolescents, survivors of human trafficking, sexual assault, torture, and domestic violence. I have also worked as a Military and Family Life Consultant and a Disaster Relief Therapist. I work with children adolescents, and adults dealing with issues of depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, PTSD, and grief issues.
On a personal level, I enjoy walking, hiking, lifting weights, and yoga. I love to dance and travel with my husband and spend time with my two adult sons, family, and friends.
