Great to meet you!

Norma has always had a passion for helping people. During the past 17 years she has worked as a clinical social worker in schools and nonprofit organizations, where she has provided both individual and group therapy to individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, family conflict, child abuse, and domestic violence.

My approach to therapy

Norma assists individuals to discover their strengths and solutions to their life's circumstances. She also assists families with achieving healthier relationships, communication, and effective coping skills. Norma provides parents with the skills necessary to communicate clearly and effectively with their children. Norma also assists clients with various therapeutic processes, including solution focused, cognitive behavioral and play therapy.

What you can expect from me

Counseling occurs within a supportive and non-judgmental environment, where clients feel safe to discuss issues within their lives. After a session she hopes you are able to leave having felt heard and validated. Problems aren't solved in one session but knowing someone has heard you without judgement can be enough to help any human being feel better.
