Great to meet you!

I am a bilingual therapist. I am from Honduras and I have been working with clients for about 10 years. I enjoy working with kids, adolescents and adults. I focus on client’s strengths. I like to practice solution focused and CBT.

My approach to therapy

Norma Hernandez is a bilingual licensed professional counselor with a specialization in working with youth and families from diverse backgrounds. Graduating from the UNT with a Master’s in Education in 2014, her approach to therapy utilizes trauma- informed, strength-based interventions that take into consideration the multiple environments impacting the social and emotional health of her clients, such as cultural background, family systems, and school climate.

What you can expect from me

I would like my clients to feel less stress, calm and hopeful after their sessions.

I want my clients to feel empowered and motivated to keep going. Change and transformation can be challenging and it takes hard to work to reach goals. I want my clients to feel they can do hard things and I am here to support along the way.
