Great to meet you!

Norma McCarthy, LPC | Therapy for Anxiety, ADHD, Trauma, Grief & Relationship Concerns

Reaching out for therapy is a big step, and I’m glad you’re here.

I work with teens, adults, and couples who are struggling with anxiety, ADHD, trauma, grief, relationship issues, and major life transitions. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted. Together, we create a space where you can talk openly, gain clarity, and begin making meaningful changes.

I provide support for:

  • Generalized anxiety and stress
  • ADHD in teens and adults
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Grief and loss
  • Relationship and communication challenges
  • Life transitions and adjustment issues

Whether you’re navigating a difficult season or long-standing struggles, therapy can help you feel more grounded, confident, and in control of your life.

I look forward to working with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, honest, and grounded in real life. Therapy is a place to slow down and understand yourself more fully, but it’s also meant to be useful outside the office.

Together, we’ll gently look at patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build practical coping skills, and draw on the strengths you already have. My goal is for you to leave each session with insight, clarity, and something meaningful you can carry into your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. Whether you’re new to therapy or returning after some time away, this initial meeting is about making sure you feel comfortable and supported.

We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you hope to work on, and the goals you’d like to set. You’ll have plenty of space to ask questions about the process, my approach, and what our time together might look like.

Most importantly, this session is about seeing if we’re a good fit. Feeling understood and at ease matters, and we’ll take the time to make sure this feels right for you.
