Great to meet you!

I am a bilingual (Spanish and English) Marriage and Family Therapist with over 22 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, parents, and couples.

I hold a psychology degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California since 1991 and earned a master's degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix in 2008.

My work focuses on strengthening relationships and addressing emotional or mental issues such as depression, anxiety, phobias, trauma, psychosocial factors, life challenges, and personal goals.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and a client-centered philosophy. I focus on fostering self-commitment, compassion, and care by integrating holistic and culturally sensitive perspectives into therapy. This enables me to honor each client's unique experiences, values, and background, and to provide a supportive environment that nurtures personal growth and healing.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my main goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where you can confidently share your concerns, needs, goals, and strengths. Your well-being and safety will remain top priorities throughout the entire therapeutic process. Your Action plans or assignments are developed collaboratively to address your unique objectives and challenges, ensuring they are relevant and meaningful to your personal growth. By focusing on these personalized strategies and practicing them both during and outside of our sessions, we promote progress, resilience, and lasting change.
