Great to meet you!

I believe every person makes sense in the context of their life experiences. Rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?" I ask, "What happened to you?" and "How have your experiences shaped the way you see yourself, others, and the world?"

My approach is humanistic, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. I do not view people as diagnoses or labels. Instead, I work collaboratively with clients to understand the emotional patterns, relationship dynamics, and survival strategies that once protected them but may no longer serve them. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes at your own pace.

As both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I work with individuals, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, betrayal, grief, life transitions, and family conflict. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory, and mindfulness while tailoring therapy to each person's unique needs and goals.

My approach to therapy

I see therapy as a partnership rather than a place where someone tells you what to do. Together, we become curious about the patterns that keep you feeling stuck while building on your strengths and resilience.

My work is grounded in trauma informed care, which means we focus on creating emotional safety before exploring difficult experiences. I believe healing happens through compassion, connection, and self understanding, not through shame or blame. We will explore the influence of past experiences, attachment relationships, family systems, and current life stressors while developing practical skills that help you create healthier relationships with yourself and others.

Whether you are seeking support individually or as a couple, my goal is to help you gain insight, regulate emotions, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know you, not judging you. We will spend time discussing what brings you to therapy, the challenges you are facing, what you hope will be different, and the strengths you already possess. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions about the therapy process and share any concerns you may have.

Together, we will begin identifying patterns that may be contributing to your distress and develop goals that reflect what matters most to you. My priority is to help you feel comfortable, understood, and respected so that therapy becomes a space where you can be honest, explore difficult emotions safely, and begin moving toward lasting change.
