Great to meet you!

Welcome! Reaching out for support is a meaningful step, and whether you are navigating stress, anxiety, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed, you do not have to move through it alone. Therapy can provide a space for reflection, healing, growth, and developing the tools needed to move forward with greater clarity and balance.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 15 years of experience in mental health and human services, I have worked with individuals from diverse cultural, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, and substance use concerns.

My professional background includes private practice, community mental health, addiction recovery, supportive housing, and behavioral health services. I earned my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nyack College (now Alliance University), a Doctorate of Ministry from Virginia Union University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts from Howard University. My educational and professional background allows me to integrate emotional wellness, creativity, self-expression, and holistic healing into the therapeutic process, including approaches that encourage greater self-awareness, emotional insight, and personal growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered, collaborative, and solution-focused. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) while recognizing that every individual’s journey is unique. Together, we work to build greater self-awareness, healthier coping strategies, emotional resilience, and practical tools that support lasting change and overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to be a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free space where we begin building connection and understanding. During our time together, we will explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your goals, and identify the areas of life where you would like support, healing, clarity, or growth. My goal is to help clients feel comfortable, heard, and encouraged while creating a path forward that feels realistic, meaningful, and aligned with their needs.
