Great to meet you!

Nycole A. Cox, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified family and psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner specializing in burnout, stress, and mental wellness for high-performing professionals. With 12 years as an RN and seven years as an NP, she provides compassionate psychiatric care focused on restoring clarity, balance, and resilience.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based. I believe in treating the whole person—not just their symptoms—by taking time to understand each individual's experiences, goals, and unique challenges. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, personalized medication management, and brief therapeutic interventions to support lasting mental wellness.

I strive to create a safe, inclusive, and judgment-free environment where every patient feels heard, respected, and empowered. I am committed to providing culturally responsive care and welcome individuals from all backgrounds, including underserved communities and LGBTQ+ individuals. Together, we develop a treatment plan that aligns with your needs, lifestyle, and goals, helping you build resilience, improve daily functioning, and achieve meaningful, sustainable progress.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free conversation focused on understanding your concerns and goals. We'll complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation by discussing your current symptoms, mental health history, medical history, medications, lifestyle, and any factors that may be affecting your well-being.

Together, we'll review potential diagnoses, discuss treatment options, and develop a personalized care plan that fits your needs. If medication is appropriate, we'll review the benefits, risks, and alternatives so you can make informed decisions about your care. You'll also have plenty of time to ask questions and share what's most important to you. My goal is for you to leave your first appointment feeling heard, understood, and confident about the next steps in your treatment.
