Great to meet you!

I’m Nyesha, and my goal is to create a safe, down-to-earth space where you feel truly heard and empowered. I know starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but I believe if a challenge feels big to you, then it’s big enough to bring to me. I’m here to help you move past whatever is holding you back, whether you’re navigating a major life change, struggling with anxiety and depression, or just feeling stuck.

I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California with a focus on children and families. Since then, I’ve worked in schools, community programs, and private practice, helping both young people and those "young at heart" find practical ways to move forward. My approach is all about using proven, real-world tools tailored to your unique needs so you can navigate life’s hurdles with more confidence.

I became a therapist because I truly believe in the power of connection. When I’m not in the office, I’m a real person just like you. I love getting lost in a new book, experimenting with recipes I find on TikTok, and passionately cheering for all my favorite Florida sports teams. I want our sessions to feel like a partnership where you feel understood, supported, and ready to take the next step.

My approach to therapy

My approach is centered on creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard, understood, and empowered. I don’t believe in a "one-size-fits-all" model; instead, I tailor our sessions to your unique needs using proven, real-world tools. Whether we are working through anxiety, depression, or a difficult life transition, my goal is to help you uncover what’s holding you back and give you practical strategies to move forward.

I take a compassionate and evidence-based perspective, drawing from my experience working with children and families in schools, community programs, and private practice. I am a firm believer in the transformative power of connection, and I work to break down the stigma surrounding therapy. To me, if a challenge feels big to you, then it is big enough to address together. I am here to support you every step of the way as we find the path that helps you feel most like yourself again.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, relaxed environment where the focus is entirely on getting to know you. I understand that the "first step" is often the hardest, so I prioritize making you feel comfortable and safe from the moment we start. We’ll spend our time talking through what brought you to therapy and what’s currently on your mind, remember, if it feels big to you, it’s big enough for us to discuss.

Rather than jumping straight into clinical exercises, this initial meeting is about building a connection. I’ll share more about how I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, or life transitions, and we’ll begin to identify what’s holding you back. My goal is for you to walk away from our first conversation feeling heard, understood, and a little more empowered than when you walked in. We will move at your pace, ensuring this is a partnership where you feel supported every step of the way.
