Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Nylah, and I am a licensed professional counselor who has 2 years of therapy experience and almost 8 years of experience working in the field of mental health and substance abuse. I have worked in a variety of settings including mental hospitals and jails, and I have experience with people of all ages and backgrounds. My main area of practice is working with individuals and families who are trying to overcome experiences of trauma so that they can live happier, more fulfilled lives.

My approach to therapy

My job as your therapist is to help you use your natural gifts and abilities to meet those needs and achieve your goals. Regardless of the reason that you come in, I will work with you to identify which approach works best for you based on your past experiences and current needs/wants. If you ever have any questions or concerns or realize something is not working the way you'd hoped, I always invite you to voice your needs so we can work together to find a better option.

What you can expect from me

Therapy with me will be a time where all parts of you are unconditionally welcomed, accepted, and celebrated. I work with my clients to create an environment where they feel comfortable to freely explore their inner world, empowered to make decisions for themselves, and safe to move beyond just surviving and into a reality where they are thriving.
