Great to meet you!

You may be carrying the weight of a traumatic experience, navigating grief or loss, or adjusting to the emotional challenges that can follow a serious injury. Whatever your circumstances, you deserve compassionate support and a space where you feel heard, understood, and encouraged. I’m Nyree Dawn Williams, MA, LPC, CPCS, LMHC, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor in Georgia. With more than 28 years of experience in behavioral health and master’s degrees in Psychology and Health Care Administration, I bring a combination of professional knowledge and lived experience to my work. I specialize in suicide prevention, trauma, grief and loss, and helping individuals navigate the emotional impact of personal injury. My passion is helping people find hope, recognize their strengths, and move toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

I believe healing is possible when you feel supported, understood, and empowered to move forward at your own pace. My approach combines evidence-based therapeutic practices with an understanding that every person's experiences and needs are different. I tailor our work to your goals, helping you process difficult experiences, explore emotions, and develop tools to navigate life's challenges. When appropriate, I also incorporate the Grief Recovery Method to help you work through unresolved grief and loss. I strive to create a compassionate, collaborative environment where your experiences are honored and your path toward healing is respected.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another, discuss what brings you to therapy, and explore what you hope to gain from our work together. We’ll talk about your experiences, identify the challenges that feel most important, and begin developing goals that reflect your needs and priorities. As therapy progresses, we’ll work collaboratively to process difficult emotions, build coping strategies, and recognize meaningful steps forward. Whether you’re navigating trauma, grief, suicide-related concerns, or the emotional aftermath of an injury, you don't have to face these challenges alone. My goal is to help you rediscover hope, strengthen your resilience, and create a path toward greater emotional well-being.
