Great to meet you!

I am O. Treasure Akingbulugbe, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals across the lifespan, with experience in outpatient, telehealth, and community mental health settings.

I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and other mood and thought disorders. My approach is collaborative and holistic — I believe treatment works best when you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in your care. Whether we’re discussing medication options or coping strategies, we’ll work together to create a plan that aligns with your goals.

My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can speak openly and begin moving toward stability, resilience, and lasting wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, respectful, and holistic. Mental health treatment works best when clients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their care. From our first appointment, I focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly about your concerns and goals.

I begin with a comprehensive evaluation that looks beyond symptoms to understand your medical history, stressors, lifestyle, and support system. Together, we develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs. When medication is appropriate, I provide thoughtful, evidence-based prescribing with clear education about benefits, risks, and expectations. I also incorporate supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies to promote long-term stability.

My focus is not just symptom relief, but helping you build resilience, improve daily functioning, and achieve sustainable wellness.

Above all, I see treatment as a partnership — we work together to help you move toward the life you want to live.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a supportive, structured, and welcoming environment where your story matters. My goal is to understand not just your symptoms, but you as a whole person — your history, current challenges, strengths, lifestyle, and goals.

We will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, discuss what has brought you to treatment, review any past mental health or medical history, and explore what you hope to achieve. I encourage open conversation and questions, and you never have to feel rushed or judged

If appropriate, we may discuss potential treatment options, including therapy approaches, coping strategies, and whether medication might be helpful. I provide clear education about benefits, risks, and next steps so you feel informed and empowered in decision-making.

By the end of our first session, my goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and reassured that you have a clear plan moving forward. Together, we will identify initial treatment goals focused on symptom relief, improved daily functioning, emotional stability, and long-term wellness.

Even in a virtual setting, I strive to create a safe, confidential space where trust can begin to grow from day one.
