Great to meet you!

I’m Obi. I help teens and young adults navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, identity, and substance use with honesty and compassion. My approach is collaborative and culturally affirming, offering a space where your story, context, and complexity are understood and honored.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in Narrative Therapy, which means we spend time understanding your story and how it was shaped. From there, I integrate CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, and the Socratic method to help you notice patterns, challenge what is no longer serving you, and build skills for regulation and choice. As a dual-licensed clinician (LCSW, LCDC), I also support people navigating substance use, harm reduction, and the shame that often sits underneath it. My style is collaborative, direct, and curious. I want you to feel both supported and gently stretched.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about getting comfortable. We talk about what’s going on, what you want help with, and what you need from me to feel supported. I explain how I work, answer any questions, and we decide together what goals make sense. You set the pace—I’m just here to guide and help you feel less alone in the process.
