Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Obiageli Ukatu, and I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) licensed in Massachusetts. I have over two years of experience working in psychiatry, providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals across the lifespan. I earned my master’s degree from Walden University, where I developed a strong foundation in both medication management and therapeutic interventions. My practice is dedicated to supporting clients with a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and trauma-related conditions. I am committed to creating a safe, collaborative environment where clients feel empowered to achieve their mental health goals.

My approach to therapy

As a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, my personality style with clients is warm, empathetic, and collaborative. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and respected, fostering trust and open communication. I am attentive and patient, taking time to understand each individual’s unique experiences, strengths, and challenges. My approach is person-centered and strengths-based, empowering clients to actively participate in their care and supporting them in setting and achieving meaningful goals. I value cultural sensitivity, adaptability, and a calm, reassuring presence, which helps clients feel comfortable and supported throughout their mental health journey.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to take away a sense of support, understanding, and empowerment from sessions with me. My primary goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and challenges. Together, we work to develop personalized treatment plans that address each individual’s unique needs and goals. Clients can expect to gain practical coping strategies, increased self-awareness, and a deeper understanding of their mental health. I strive to foster resilience, encourage self-advocacy, and support clients in building the skills and confidence needed to manage symptoms and improve overall well-being. Ultimately, my aim is to help clients feel heard, respected, and equipped to make positive changes in their lives.
