Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Ofelia Johnson, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about helping individuals and couples navigate life's challenges with compassion and hope. I have experience working in community mental health, intensive outpatient, residential, and private practice settings, supporting clients through anxiety, trauma, PTSD, relationship concerns, grief, and major life transitions. I believe healing happens through genuine connection, and I strive to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and empowered to grow.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I tailor treatment to each person's unique needs by integrating evidence-based approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and attachment-based interventions. I enjoy helping clients better understand the patterns that keep them feeling stuck while building practical coping skills, strengthening relationships, and creating lasting emotional change. Whether you're processing trauma, navigating anxiety, or working through relationship challenges, we'll move at a pace that feels supportive while gently encouraging growth.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my priority is getting to know you, not just the challenges that brought you to therapy, but also your strengths, values, and goals. We'll explore what you're hoping to gain from therapy, discuss your history at a pace that feels comfortable, and begin creating a treatment plan that reflects your needs. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer understanding of how we can work together toward meaningful change.
