Great to meet you!

I bring more than 25 years of nursing and healthcare experience to my practice, including over 20 years as a nurse practitioner. I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC), with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Grand Canyon University, a postgraduate PMHNP certificate from Purdue Global University, a Master's degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Los Angeles. My background spans comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, patient education, and care coordination for adults with complex medical and psychosocial needs. I am compassionate, empathetic, patient, attentive, approachable, respectful, nonjudgmental, and collaborative — and I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard and comfortable discussing your mental health.

My approach to therapy

I believe effective mental health care starts with listening to and understanding the whole person — not just treating a diagnosis. My nursing and nurse practitioner experience has shown me just how closely mental and physical health are connected, which has deepened my commitment to providing compassionate, accessible, and comprehensive care. I use a patient-centered, evidence-based approach that respects each person's experiences, values, culture, and personal goals. I work collaboratively with you — and, when appropriate, with your other healthcare providers — to build a trusting relationship and develop an individualized treatment plan that supports your long-term well-being.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I'll take the time to carefully listen and understand your concerns, symptoms, and medical and mental health history, along with what you hope to achieve in treatment. From there, I'll complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and work with you to begin building an individualized treatment plan — one that may include medication management, education about your condition and options, and ongoing symptom monitoring. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and confident that we have a clear, collaborative plan moving forward.
