Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Dr. Olamide Alabi, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a passion for helping people navigate mental health challenges. I have over a decade of experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment, working in hospitals, community mental health centers, and recovery programs.

I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Samford University and hold multiple degrees in nursing, law, and agricultural economics. My diverse background, having studied in Nigeria, and the U.S., helps me provide culturally competent and inclusive care.

I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard and empowered on their journey to wellness.

My approach to therapy

I believe in a compassionate, client-centered, and culturally inclusive approach to mental health. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered.

I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders, using evidence-based therapy and medication management to support each person’s unique needs. With experience in hospitals, community mental health, and recovery programs, I tailor my care to help clients build resilience and long-term wellness.

My background—having studied in Nigeria, the UK, and the U.S.—allows me to provide culturally competent care, ensuring that treatment is personalized, inclusive, and effective for individuals from diverse backgrounds.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where they feel heard and understood. My approach is collaborative and empowering, helping clients develop practical coping strategies, emotional resilience, and a deeper understanding of their mental health.

Through evidence-based therapy and medication management, I work with clients to manage anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders, guiding them toward long-term wellness. Sessions focus on building confidence, reducing distress, and creating a personalized plan for healing.

My goal is for every client to leave each session feeling validated, equipped with new tools, and hopeful about their progress on their mental health journey.
