Great to meet you!

I am a licensed mental health clinician in the state of Illinois with over 20 years of professional experience providing evidence-based care to adults, adolescents, and families. I have extensive experience treating stress-related concerns, anxiety disorders, mood disorders including bipolar disorder and depression, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, and parenting-related challenges.

My approach to therapy

My clinical approach emphasizes the development of a therapeutic alliance grounded in trust, safety, and collaboration. I strive to create a structured, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment in which clients can openly explore thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns. Treatment is individualized and informed by each client’s unique strengths, goals, and clinical needs. Seeking mental health treatment is a significant and often challenging decision. I recognize the courage it takes to engage in this process and am committed to providing consistent, ethical, and compassionate care to support clients in improving emotional regulation, increasing insight, and fostering meaningful and sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

During the first therapy session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming environment where they feel genuinely heard and supported. This initial meeting focuses on building trust and understanding—helping clients feel at ease with their decision to seek help and talk openly.

We’ll spend time discussing what brought them to therapy, their personal goals, and what they hope to achieve. Clients will notice that I am attentive and fully engaged in understanding their experiences, concerns, and strengths.

By the end of the session, clients often feel a sense of relief knowing they’ve taken a meaningful step toward improving their overall mental and emotional well-being. My goal is for each person to leave feeling validated, understood, and confident that they’re in a safe space dedicated to their growth and healing.
