Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families across healthcare, community mental health, child welfare, and private practice settings. My background includes working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, burnout, parenting stress, and complex family dynamics.

I believe therapy should feel collaborative, supportive, and grounded in trust. My approach combines evidence-based practices with a compassionate and culturally responsive lens that honors each client’s unique experiences and strengths.

I am trained in several evidence-based modalities, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

My goal is to help clients increase insight, build practical coping skills, strengthen emotional resilience, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each client’s individual needs and goals. I recognize that no two people experience life the same way, so I work to create a therapeutic space where clients feel heard, respected, and emotionally safe.

I integrate evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT, and EFT to support clients in understanding patterns, processing difficult experiences, regulating emotions, improving relationships, and developing healthier coping strategies.

In therapy, we may focus on:

  • Managing anxiety, stress, or depression
  • Healing from trauma or difficult life experiences
  • Improving self-esteem and emotional regulation
  • Navigating relationship or family challenges
  • Strengthening communication and boundaries
  • Building clarity, confidence, and resilience during life transitions

I value authenticity, curiosity, and practical progress. Therapy is not about perfection — it is about creating meaningful change and helping clients feel more empowered in their daily lives.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust and understanding. I aim to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where clients can share at a pace that feels comfortable for them.

During the first session, we will typically discuss:

  • What brought you to therapy
  • Current stressors, concerns, or symptoms
  • Personal history and important life experiences
  • Strengths, supports, and coping strategies
  • Goals for therapy and what you hope to gain from the process

Clients can expect a collaborative conversation rather than feeling pressured to “have everything figured out.” My role is to listen, support, and help identify practical next steps that align with your goals and values.

By the end of the session, many clients leave with greater clarity, a sense of connection, and an initial plan for moving forward.
