Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I’ve been practicing as an LPC for almost four years and providing therapy for about seven. I especially enjoy working with young adults who are exploring their identity, values, and sense of self.

I have a strong interest in grief and loss—both in the traditional sense and in the many quieter forms loss can take. I view loss as more than detachment or death; it also includes loss of identity, relationships, experiences, health, infertility, and the versions of ourselves we expected to become. I believe deeply in the importance of moving through the grieving process rather than around it, and I value supporting clients as they navigate these heavy but meaningful emotions.

My passion lies in helping clients get to the root of emotional wounds so they can experience genuine healing and relief from present-day challenges. I believe there is tremendous power in naming and understanding our emotions—something many of us don’t often get space to do. This emotional awareness often leads to greater insight and meaningful personal change.

I have extensive experience working in university settings with diverse populations. I am also trained in EMDR and have used it for the past four years to treat trauma, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, and other issues. In addition to my work in higher education, I have been in private practice for about two years.

My approach to therapy

My approach is person-centered and emotion-focused at its core. I truly believe you are the expert of your own life—my role is to support and guide you. Building a trusting, authentic relationship is central to our work, and I strive to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and empowered.

While much of my work focuses on emotional processing and deeper insight, I also utilize Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, and EMDR when they align with your needs. I tailor each session to the individual, allowing flexibility as your goals and circumstances evolve.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and make sure we’re a good fit. I’ll ask questions to better understand who you are, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from the process. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and discussing a plan for moving forward.

You’ll also get a feel for my therapeutic style, and we’ll review policies and procedures so you know what to expect. Most importantly, this is your space to ask questions, express concerns, and ensure you feel comfortable and supported as we begin this work together.

I know starting therapy can feel intimidating, but taking this first step says so much about your strength. I’m here to help you work through the hard things, and I truly look forward to meeting you
