Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Olivia Cruz and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from William and Mary. I primarily work with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma, and identity issues for adolescents and adults.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Everyone I work with has their own unique story to tell. I view my therapeutic role as a collaborator; you bring your expertise on your life, and I bring my knowledge and education on mental health. We work together to achieve your personal goals using evidence-based approaches. I use an eclectic style of counseling, pulling techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, and positive psychology.

What you can expect from our first session

I believe a warm, welcoming, and relaxed environment creates the best space for personal growth. It is my goal that you are able to take on life's many challenges with confidence in the skills you will acquire in our sessions!
