Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Olivia. I've been in therapy practice for six years, and am grateful for the opportunity to get to know you! As a queer and neurodivergent person, my career as a therapist has always moved in tandem with my commitment to social and economic justice. My work has taken me to settings with folks experiencing homelessness in South Los Angeles; with justice-involved adults in treatment court diversion programs in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood; in young adult shelters for art therapy groups; with low-income immigrant parents of young children; and with teens and young adults with significant trauma histories.

Through all my roles I always commit to centering community and individual strengths that help arm my clients with the tools necessary to repel various types of systemic violence and oppression. I believe that therapy is inherently political because being human is political.

My approach to therapy

On our therapy journey together, I will guide you in exploring the difficult questions present in your life. How do I quiet my constant inner critic? How can I feel less overwhelmed? How do I accept the parts of myself that cause me pain? Sitting with your questions, we'll investigate where they come from, what stories they perpetuate, and build tools that help you access relief from emotional pain and find clarity about your core wounds. Sometimes we will explore challenging histories with gentle care, while other times we might compassionately identify unhelpful patterns that may be causing you distress.

I take an experiential approach, bringing in somatic and mindfulness tools that help us channel the body's innate wisdom to understand the core wounds driving your pain.

I know finding the right therapist can be tough, so please reach out for a free consult - I'd love to connect so you can feel into whether we are a good fit. If you find that we are, I would be honored to accompany you in this journey. May you find peace, self-acceptance, and fulfillment in your life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will look a bit different from other sessions in that I will ask you a lot of questions about your background, what's bringing you to therapy, and your personal growth or therapeutic goals.

I will always bring humor, warmth, and compassion to our sessions. You can expect to be guided in experiential, somatic exercises and leave the session with practical tools and reflection questions for your upcoming week. While we'll focus each week on whatever is coming up for you, I'll make sure we're weaving in the therapeutic work you want to be doing.
