Great to meet you!

I entered the counseling profession with a wealth of life experiences. I have now acquired nearly a decade of professional counseling experience supporting individuals through life's most challenging moments.

I work with clients across diverse backgrounds and belief systems, and I'm committed to creating a therapeutic space that honors who my clients are, where they come from, and their therapeutic goals.

My clinical expertise includes depression, anxiety, trauma, and stress-related concerns. I also specialize in helping clients navigate self-esteem, life transitions, social anxiety, panic disorder, and posttraumatic stress. I work with issues around guilt, shame, control, and impulsivity—recognizing that these often intersect with deeper patterns in how we relate to ourselves and others.

I bring a person-centered, culturally responsive approach to therapy. I believe in meeting my clients where they are, without judgment, and collaborating with them to build skills and insights that support meaningful change. Whether my clients and working through communication challenges, building self-love, or processing difficult experiences, I'm here to provide steady, compassionate support.

Starting therapy and to persevere takes a very strong courage. Therefore, I feel highly honored to collaboratively walk alongside my clients on their determination to embark on a resilient healing journey.

My approach to therapy

My counseling style is pretty laid back. I have been described as supportive, caring, and compassionate, with a pretty good sense of humor. I like to focus on identifying my clients' strengths and working with the clients to maximize their strengths to overcome their obstacles.

I will be available to work with clients to sort through the things that appear very difficult right now. I consider it very imperative to offer my clients a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment to address their presenting issues.

What you can expect from me

My clients are always reassured that my first session with them should be likened to window shopping. The cliche first impression lasts longer is not a very crucial yardstick I use to rate my first meetings with my clients.

I can empathise with my clients' reluctance to divulge every information about their presenting issues during our first session, but I am sure with the reassurance that the clients are at a safe place to express themselves subsequent sessions will compensate for whatever ground is lost during the first counseling session.
