Great to meet you!

Hello, I am Olukemi Akinola, a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) committed to helping individuals attain stability, clarity, and healing through medication and therapy.

I obtained my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Psychiatry/Mental Health from Walden University after finishing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, TX. Prior to my role as a PMHNP, I was employed in inpatient psychiatry, providing me with a wide-ranging understanding of mental health throughout the lifespan.

I hold a license and board certification to diagnose mental health disorders, prescribe medications, and deliver continuous psychiatric treatment. I collaborate closely with therapists and primary care providers when necessary to guarantee comprehensive, coordinated care.

Possessing a solid educational foundation in nursing and relevant work experience, particularly in mental health, guarantees that you are in capable hands and a secure environment.

My work is founded on compassion, teamwork, and respect. The best outcomes are achieved when we understand your varied experiences and personalize the treatment to fit your aspirations, principles, and way of life.

My approach to therapy

I combine evidence-based psychiatric treatment with a caring, individual-focused approach. I see mental health care as a collaborative approach where your perspective and personal experiences are key to the journey. I invest effort in understanding you, not only your symptoms. Whether we focus on managing medications, making lifestyle adjustments, or developing lasting emotional resilience, I am devoted to assisting you without judgment and at your own pace.

I acknowledge how trauma, systemic pressures, and life changes can affect mental well-being. As a result, I work to establish a secure, inclusive, and culturally sensitive environment for everyone. My approach is kind, being aware, and organized. I recognize the strength of being listened to; hence, I will answer your questions to the best of my ability, motivate, and empower you. What more? You can do this from the comfort of your home and with flexible hours.

What you can expect from me

The initial session will include a comprehensive evaluation of the client's mental health and medical history, diagnosis and treatment strategy, information about the condition, and follow-up or medication. It is also a chance to inquire and begin establishing a cooperative relationship.

Let's Connect

I would be privileged to collaborate with you if you are prepared to achieve greater stability and control over your mental well-being. Whether you are seeking psychiatric care for the first time or returning after some time, I am here to connect with you.
