Great to meet you!

Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, stress, sleep difficulties, or feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges? If so, you're not alone. Seeking help is a sign of strength, and I am honored to support you on your journey toward healing and wellness.

I am Oluwatosin Adewumi, MSN, FNP-C,PMHNP-BC, a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 18 years of nursing experience and 10 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner. I have worked with adolescents, adults, and older adults across various settings, including outpatient clinics, psychiatric emergency services, hospitals, and telepsychiatry.

I specialize in the evaluation and treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders, OCD, psychotic disorders, sleep disorders, and substance use disorders. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy tailored to each individual's unique needs.

My approach is holistic, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe in treating the whole person—not just the symptoms—by considering the impact of sleep, stress, physical health, relationships, lifestyle, and personal values on mental well-being. Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals and empowers you to take an active role in your care.

I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and valued. My goal is for every client to leave feeling understood, confident in their treatment plan, and hopeful about the future.

Healing is possible. You do not have to walk this journey alone. Together, we can work toward balance, resilience, and lasting emotional wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and holistic. I believe that effective mental health treatment goes beyond simply managing symptoms—it involves understanding the whole person. I take time to learn about each client's unique experiences, strengths, challenges, relationships, lifestyle, cultural background, and personal goals.

I provide evidence-based psychiatric care through comprehensive evaluations, medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and patient education. I work closely with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their needs and values, recognizing that there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to mental health care.

I specialize in treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders, OCD, psychotic disorders, sleep disorders, and substance use disorders. In addition to addressing mental health symptoms, I consider factors such as stress, sleep, physical health, nutrition, and overall wellness, as these can significantly impact emotional well-being.

My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in their treatment. I believe that healing happens through partnership, trust, and open communication. Together, we will work toward building resilience, restoring balance, and helping you achieve meaningful and lasting improvements in your quality of life.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, my primary goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns and experiences. I understand that seeking mental health care can feel intimidating, so I strive to make the process as comfortable and collaborative as possible.

We will spend time getting to know each other while discussing your current concerns, symptoms, personal history, medical history, lifestyle, strengths, and treatment goals. I will conduct a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to gain a thorough understanding of your needs and identify factors that may be impacting your mental and emotional well-being.

Together, we will explore what is working well in your life, what challenges you are facing, and what you hope to achieve through treatment. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of your symptoms, an initial treatment plan tailored to your unique needs, and recommendations that may include medication management, therapy, lifestyle modifications, or other supportive interventions.

Most importantly, I want you to leave feeling heard, respected, supported, and hopeful. My goal is for every client to feel empowered, confident in their treatment plan, and reassured that they do not have to navigate their mental health journey alone.
