Great to meet you!

Raised with self-confidence struggles, my aunt's reiki teachings on mindfulness meditation proved transformative. As a therapist, I provide belief-free support using diverse modalities like CBT and person-centered approaches. Columbia University laid my foundation, but client experiences truly shape my practice. Notably, aiding an adolescent with enculturation stress and supporting her Bengali-speaking parents showcased the impact of trauma and parenting skills.

My approach to therapy

I firmly believe that self-criticism is often our greatest obstacle. To counteract this, I practice self-kindness and nonjudgment. Embracing who I am allows me to adapt to life's changes, shaping my therapeutic approach. In counseling, I cultivate a loving, kind, and nonjudgmental space for clients to explore. Just as laughter has fueled my own growth, I encourage clients to find humor in their journeys, fostering humility and acceptance.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling empowered, with newfound self-awareness and practical strategies to navigate life's challenges. In a nonjudgmental and supportive environment, they'll explore concerns openly, perhaps even sharing a laugh or two along the way. They'll gain a deeper understanding of themselves, fostering resilience and growth. My goal is for clients to feel heard, validated, and equipped to lead more fulfilling lives, with a smile on their faces.
