Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Omy Golden, founder of Dark Moon Counseling. I’m a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania with over a decade of experience supporting adults through complex emotional terrain.

My work often centers on helping people heal from past traumas and relational wounds—especially the ones that make it hard to feel safe, seen, or fully yourself. I bring a grounded, collaborative presence to therapy, and I deeply respect the courage it takes to step into this work.

Outside of sessions, I’m a cat mom, a lifelong reader, and someone who believes fiercely in the power of compassion to create change—even (or especially!) when it starts small.

My approach to therapy

I believe you are the expert on your own experience. With curiosity and acceptance, I help clients explore their inner landscape and discover meaningful ways to navigate life’s challenges.

In our work together, I’ll bring warmth, authenticity, and a nonjudgmental presence. My approach is collaborative—I offer compassion and emotional attunement, and when it’s helpful, I’m glad to engage in concrete problem solving around what’s showing up in your daily life.

Drawing from my background in expressive arts therapy, I also invite creative exploration—helping you reconnect with playfulness, self-expression, and joy.

What you can expect from me

You might leave our sessions with a few too many book recommendations, more laughter than expected, and a renewed sense that you’re not walking this healing path alone.

If you’re ready to take the next step—even in the midst of uncertainty—I invite you to reach out. Together, we can explore what your path toward wellness might look like.
