Great to meet you!

My name is Omowunmi Rachael Ayeni. I go by Rachael. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping individuals navigate mental health challenges with compassion, respect, and evidence-based care. My clinical background includes experience caring for individuals with a wide range of medical and mental health needs, which has shaped my whole-person approach to treatment. I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy for conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, insomnia, and other mental health concerns. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, and actively involved in your care.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe mental health care should look beyond symptoms and consider the whole person, their experiences, relationships, physical well-being, lifestyle, values, and personal goals. Together, we will develop a treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive psychotherapy, education, and practical strategies to improve your overall well-being. When desired, I also welcome the integration of faith and spirituality into treatment. My goal is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to help you achieve meaningful and sustainable improvements in your quality of life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for me to get to know you beyond a diagnosis. We will discuss what brought you to care, your current symptoms and concerns, medical and psychiatric history, medications, lifestyle, relationships, and the goals you would like to achieve. I encourage questions and want you to feel comfortable expressing your concerns and preferences. By the end of the visit, we will work together to identify next steps and develop an individualized treatment plan. You can expect a respectful, supportive, and judgment-free environment where your voice is an important part of every treatment decision.
