Great to meet you!

When mental health affects every area of daily life, having one provider for both the therapy and the medication side changes things. I'm Onyinyechukwu, a psychiatric nurse practitioner in Virginia working with adolescents, adults, and seniors around anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, trauma, and more. Let's figure this out together.

My approach to therapy

In sessions, we look at the full picture: what you are experiencing emotionally, how your thinking patterns shape your day, and whether medication might help the work take hold. For clients managing bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, trauma, panic, sleep difficulties, stress, or substance use, that combined approach often moves things forward when therapy alone has not been enough. I use structured, evidence-based methods to help you recognize patterns and build strategies that hold up in real life. Sessions are practical and collaborative. We build a plan, adjust as things change, and start wherever you are.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is a conversation. I'll ask about what's bringing you in, your history, and what you want to be different. If medication is something we might consider together, we'll talk through it without any pressure. By the end of the first session, you'll have a clearer sense of what we're working on and what comes next. Many people leave that first appointment feeling less alone with what they've been carrying.
