I have been practicing therapy for nearly 5 years primarily with adolescents and young adults treating all sorts of issues, but I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, and loss of direction and purpose in life. My approach to therapy, rooted in Existential Analysis, might be a bit different than what you’d expect. Rather than focusing on symptom reduction as the main goal of therapy, i.e., “I want to feel less depressed and anxious,” I focus on helping folks embrace the inherent challenges of being a human in order to create meaning and purpose in their lives regardless of what difficult symptoms they experience.
Through our work together, we’ll take time to explore and build a deeper understanding of your past, accept and confront the challenges holding you back, clarify and connect you to your core values, and empower you to make choices that align with your deepest desires, and ultimately, create a life filled with meaning and purpose.
