My approach to therapy

Dr. Whittaker works with children and adults, families, and couples providing care for various issues. Although an eclectic approach is used, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy & The Gottman Method for Couples are primarily used.

Dr. Whittaker provides a client-centered atmosphere. From sessions, clients should be able to evaluate, process, and resolve issues that originally brought them into the therapeutic environment. As a clinician, her goal is to enhance the lives of her clients by providing a safe environment in which they can overcome their challenges and maximize their full potential. It is with this goal in mind that her drive for learning and commitment to the field of psychology takes precedence.
