Great to meet you!

I believe the best psychiatric care begins with listening. Every person has a unique story, and my goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where you feel heard, understood, and respected. I work collaboratively with my patients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their goals, values, and lifestyle.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with three years of outpatient psychiatric experience and more than 18 years of nursing experience, including emergency and critical care. Throughout my psychiatric practice, I have cared for hundreds of patients with a wide range of mental health conditions, allowing me to develop experience treating both common and complex presentations.

I provide care for adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders. My approach combines evidence-based medication management with education, supportive therapy, and practical coping strategies to help patients achieve meaningful, lasting improvement.

I believe in thoughtful prescribing rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Whenever appropriate, I strive to use the lowest effective medication burden while ensuring patients understand the benefits, risks, and alternatives of each treatment option. I value shared decision-making and believe patients should feel informed, empowered, and actively involved in their care.

Whether you're seeking treatment for the first time or looking for a fresh perspective after previous care, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, supported, and confident that we are working together toward lasting improvement and a better quality of life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I believe the best outcomes come from building a trusting relationship where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns openly and without judgment. I take the time to understand each person's unique experiences, goals, and challenges before developing an individualized treatment plan.

I combine thoughtful medication management with education, supportive therapy, and practical coping strategies to help patients achieve meaningful, lasting improvement. I believe in shared decision-making, ensuring that patients understand their treatment options and feel empowered to participate in their care. My goal is not only to reduce symptoms but also to improve overall functioning, resilience, and quality of life.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brought you to treatment. I'll ask about your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, past treatments, and the goals you hope to achieve. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and share what's most important to you.

By the end of the appointment, we'll work together to develop an individualized treatment plan that may include medication recommendations, therapy referrals, or supportive strategies, and practical next steps. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard and understood, with a clear plan for moving forward.
