Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Oylime “Vicky” Ibarra, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and the founder of Healing Through Courage. I’m also a wife, mom, and pet mom — roles that remind me every day that life can be beautiful, stressful, and overwhelming all at once.Opening this practice has been a lifelong dream and a return to what I’ve always felt called to do: sit with people in their hardest moments and help them reconnect with their own strength. After years working in hospitals, community programs, and leading trauma-responsive initiatives, I’ve learned one truth – everyone struggles, and no one should have to do it alone.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, compassion, and authenticity. In therapy, there is room to feel whatever you feel — to cry, laugh, be angry, or simply have days when you’re not okay. Healing isn’t about perfection; it’s about safety, connection, and giving yourself permission to start again at your own pace.At Healing Through Courage, my goal is to create a space where you can breathe, be honest, and feel seen, because sometimes being truly heard is the first step toward healing.

What you can expect from me

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can connect, talk briefly about what’s bringing you here, and see if my approach feels like the right fit for your needs.
