Great to meet you!

Ozzy Chaney, M.Ed., L.P.C.C.-S is a compassionate and experienced Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision Designation who earned his Master of Education in Clinical Counseling from Youngstown State University in 2018. His career has focused on supporting youth and adolescents in both office-based and in-home settings, along with extensive crisis counseling experience at the Stark County Crisis Center.

A proud Ohio Army National Guard veteran, Ozzy served as a Corporal and brings the values of duty, discipline, and service into his counseling work. As both a veteran and a first responder, he understands firsthand the demands and pressures of high-stress, high-responsibility roles.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is strength-based and centered on helping you recognize and build on the resilience, skills, and experiences you already have. I believe that each person brings their own strengths into the room, and together we work to use those strengths to navigate challenges, process experiences, and create meaningful change.

I take a collaborative, straightforward approach to therapy. Clear communication, trust, and mutual respect are important to me, and I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself. My background allows me to connect quickly and communicate in a way that feels authentic and relatable, especially for those working in high-pressure environments.

What you can expect from me

We’ll start with an initial session where I’ll get to know you, your experiences, and what you’d like to get out of therapy. From there, we’ll work together to set goals and create a plan that fits your needs.

You can expect a practical, supportive approach where you feel heard and understood, but also challenged when needed. My goal is to provide a steady, reliable environment where you can build insight, strengthen coping strategies, and move forward with confidence.
