Great to meet you!

I’m an Indo-Caribbean therapist who understands what it’s like to grow up in a home where emotions weren’t talked about, and being strong meant staying silent. Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to explain your culture—you can just be.

We’ll go at your pace. I don’t expect trust right away—I earn it by showing up with honesty, softness, and respect for your story. Whether you're dealing with grief, anxiety, burnout, or identity shifts, I offer a space where you can exhale, untangle what you’ve been carrying, and begin to feel again.

I work well with immigrants and children of immigrants, especially South Asian and Indo-Caribbean adults, who are navigating generational wounds, people-pleasing, high expectations, or feeling disconnected from themselves.

My approach to therapy

I use a decolonized, integrative approach that centers your culture, your lived experience, and your pace. I blend:

  • EMDR to help process past wounds and trauma
  • Somatic practices to support nervous system regulation and safety
  • Talk therapy and a strengths-based lens to build insight, self-trust, and clarity
  • And CBT techniques, when structured and reflection, are helpful

Therapy with me holds space for grief that isn’t always visible, for cultural pressure you can’t name, and for the quiet parts of you that have been waiting to speak.

I don’t believe in forcing one-size-fits-all models onto your healing. Our work isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you reconnect to the parts of yourself that were never broken.

What you can expect from me

Feeling your emotions isn't dishonor - it's reclaiming your honor. We’ll explore your pain, your resilience, and the stories you’ve been told about who you should be.

Clients often leave sessions with:

  • A deeper emotional vocabulary and greater self-awareness
  • A stronger ability to set boundaries and advocate for you
  • Clarity around internalized shame and external pressures
  • And a sense that healing is possible without betraying your culture or self

Healing isn’t about fixing you. It’s about making space for your truth and slowly learning to live in it—with love, not fear.
