Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been practicing in the field of social work for the last 8 years. I work with couples, families, and individuals (age 13 years and up). I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, chronic illness, and caregiver burnout. I believe healing happens in relationships and pride myself in being a warm, direct, open-minded therapist empowering clients to reach their goals and improve their quality of life.

My approach to therapy

I take a positive and holistic approach to therapy, highlighting my clients’ strengths and checking in with the mind and body. Therapy with me is a collaborative process where the client determines therapy goals and pace of sessions. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, but use other modalities that focus on mindfulness, acceptance, and motivation as well.

What you can expect from me

The first session is all about getting to know you and your goals for therapy. Clients often share with me how difficult it has been for them to connect with therapists in the past, and how pleasantly surprised they are with how easy I am to talk to. I enjoy being a calming and safe presence, but value humor in therapy as well. I believe healing happens in relationships and I will show up for you as your therapist.
