Great to meet you!

I have completed generalist training with additional specialty training in health psychology. Our physical and mental health are directly related. I take a holistic, patient centered approach to care by bringing attention to, and enhancing, the mind-body relationship.

Much of my clinical work has been focused on helping patients and caregivers manage adjustment to chronic illness. While a large portion of my practice is related to helping people manage stress, depression, anxiety, anger, grief, relational problems and more.

I am also passionate about helping people live their best lives through positive health behavior changes, such as improved eating habits, tobacco cessation, increased physical activity, and help with sleeping better.

Working to improve patients’ physical health by promoting mental well-being is a passion I have nurtured and followed for several years. My goal is always to help people live more in line with their values, while still recognizing the real challenges one with physical and mental health concerns has to face every single day. Symptom reduction is the first step in helping people see more clearly what those values may be and a path forward to living more in line with them.

I work together with patients to determine an appropriate treatment plan with a clear path forward. I look forward to helping you rediscover your values and get started on the path to fulfillment!

My approach to therapy

My approach to patient care often combines various approaches, including cognitive and behavioral interventions, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, as well as existential, humanistic, emotion focused, and supportive interventions and frameworks. However, ultimately, I do what works for my patients. I map out various roads we could take together. Then, the patient decides where they would like to go and how they would like to get there. I do what I can to help them arrive at their destination.

What you can expect from me

First, we will work on determining what is truly important in your life. We will work on discovering the various factors which may be impacting your ability to live in line with these values. Then, we will set up goals to help you live a more meaningful, fulfilling, present life.
