Great to meet you!

Life has a way of throwing unexpected twists into our stories, leaving us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Whether you are navigating the heavy aftereffects of trauma, managing daily anxiety, or trying to find balance as a family, your experiences and your voice matter. I believe therapy isn't about erasing your past chapters; it’s about giving you the tools, support, and insight to author a healthier, more fulfilling future. Your story matters. Let’s step into your next chapter—one page at a time.

As an LPC-S and founder of Next Page Counseling, I provide an integrative, trauma-informed approach to adults, adolescents, and families.

Prior to private practice, I spent over a decade in community leadership and trauma advocacy working directly with survivors of interpersonal violence, domestic abuse, sexual assault, and childhood trauma.

No two stories are identical, which is why I reject a “one-size-fits-all” approach. I customize my care to match exactly what you and your nervous system need in the moment, utilizing multiple evidence-based modalities.

My ultimate goal is to provide a warm, private, and client-centered partnership where you feel deeply heard, physically and emotionally safe, and empowered to reclaim your story. Offering both in-person and telehealth sessions, reach out to schedule a Free 15-minute consultation.

My approach to therapy

I operate from an integrative, trauma-informed framework rooted firmly in person-centered, empowerment-focused, and strengths-based care. I believe therapy should feel like a collaborative partnership, not a rigid prescription.

Healing cannot be rushed. My extensive history supporting survivors of severe trauma has taught me that we must move gently and intentionally. Together, we will look at your whole narrative and collaborate as equals to uncover your inherent, natural resilience. Using an array of evidence-based modalities tailored specifically to you or your family, we look at your experiences through these specific lenses:

  • CBT & REBT: To identify, challenge, and reframe distressing thought patterns and unhelpful core beliefs that keep you feeling stuck.
  • Psychodynamic & Interpersonal Psychotherapy: To map out early life experiences and interpersonal dynamics, allowing you to understand your core patterns and break free from repetitive, unhelpful relationship loops.
  • Problem-Solving & Solution-Focused Therapies: To focus on the present, building actionable, concrete strategies and leveraging the internal tools you already possess to navigate difficult life shifts and everyday stressors.
  • Mindfulness & Play-Based Interventions: To safely ground the physical nervous system, alleviate immediate somatic anxiety, and aid healthy self-expression for younger clients, parents, and families.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about establishing safety, comfort, and human connection. Taking the step to start therapy can feel overwhelming, so we will slow down, take a deep breath, and get to know one another at a pace that feels completely natural to you. There is absolutely no pressure to dive into your deepest traumas or heaviest stories right away.

Instead, our first session is a collaborative, transparent conversation where we will:

  • Explore the Present: Look at what is currently bringing you to therapy and discuss the immediate, everyday challenges you or your family are facing.
  • Identify Your Goals: Map out what healing, relief, and meaningful progress look like for you, ensuring your unique voice guides the direction of our upcoming work.
  • Review Logistics & Questions: Briefly touch on the administrative foundations of our partnership and answer any questions you have about how therapy works.

You will leave our first session with a clear understanding of how we will collaborate as equals, ensuring you feel deeply heard, physically and emotionally safe, and empowered to confidently step into your next chapter.
