About Paige

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I've dedicated my career to guiding individuals and couples through their mental health journeys. My academic foundation includes a Master's degree in Mental Health from Mid-America Nazarene University, which equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of psychological principles and therapeutic techniques. Professionally, I specialize in addressing areas such as anxiety, trauma, and emotional regulation. I believe that connecting with your authentic self is the compass that guides you toward health and healing.

Beyond my professional qualifications, I believe in the power of shared humanity. As a neurodiverse therapist with dyslexia, I bring a unique and empathetic perspective to my practice. This personal experience allows me to connect with clients on a deeper level, fostering a truly understanding and non-judgemental space. Outside of the therapy room, I value quality time with my family and community, which helps me stay grounded and connected to the world around us.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in the belief that true healing blossoms when you connect with your authentic self, allowing it to guide you toward health and wholeness. I engage in depth work within a psychodynamic and family systems framework, initiating our journey by establishing trust through active listening and genuine understanding. My aim is to cultivate an environment where you can truly "breathe deeply," assured that you are not alone in your experiences.

As an integrated clinician, I draw from a diverse toolkit of evidence-based modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Mindfulness, Breathwork, Emotion Focused Techniques, and Somatic Experiencing. My Gottman Method Level 1 certification also informs my work with couples, emphasizing communication and connection. I believe in a direct approach, utilizing curiosity, somatic work to help you understand your body's wisdom, and even a touch of humor to navigate challenging moments. This integrated and compassionate approach supports individuals and couples in understanding themselves, their relational patterns, and ultimately, finding lasting healing and growth.

What you can expect from me

When you engage in sessions with me, you can expect to leave with more than just coping strategies; you'll gain a deeper, more authentic understanding of yourself. My direct approach, infused with curiosity and a touch of humor, means we'll tackle challenges head-on, but always with warmth and genuine connection. Because I connect with a variety of minds, including neurodiverse individuals, you'll find a space where your unique perspective is not just understood, but truly valued.

Clients often discover a renewed sense of clarity about their emotional landscapes and relational patterns, learning how their past experiences influence their present. Through somatic work, you'll develop a profound connection with your body's wisdom, empowering you to navigate stress and emotions with greater ease. Ultimately, you'll walk away with practical tools, a stronger sense of self, and the confidence that comes from knowing how to access your own innate capacity for healing and growth.
